Sunday 26th March. Welcome to page seventeen! I’ve had a good fortnight and been quite busy. Last Saturday we went to Bluewater to see a retro film called Labyrinth starring David Bowie. I’ve seen it before on tv a long time ago but it still made me laugh 😂. Louise said she enjoyed it but she kept falling asleep! It was Shirley’s birthday so in the evening we went to the Longfield Tandoori for a curry. I had a 🐔 Chicken Bunha with rice 🍚 which was yummy and Shirley had the same.
On Tuesday most of the guys did their banking then because it’s not a lunch club week, we all went to Nancy’s for sandwiches, I had 🥓 bacon as usual.
On Wednesday we went to Gravesend in the minibus 🚎 and met the guys from SEC. We did some shopping and I bought the Simon Pegg dvd ‘Absolutely Anything’ for Sam as a surprise. For lunch we had fish 🎣 and chips!
I spoke to dad on Thursday before getting my nails done at Edenbridge. They are burgundy this time, but George has gone for gold!
My banking day is now Friday when it's bits and bobs day...
I was looking forward to seeing Sam, Lucy and Ethan on Saturday to celebrate Mother’s Day. We went over to theirs and met at the Jobbers Rest pub and had a really nice lunch. Mum and I had Stone Bass which was lovely 😊. Sam had a burger as usual! Ethan had chicken goujons and chips which he thoroughly enjoyed. We went back to Sam & Lucy’s for a cup of tea ☕️ and Ethan was really giggly. He’s talking lots and very nearly walking - it won’t be long now!
The next time I’m over to mum and dad’s will be Good Friday April 7th for 🐣 Easter, but mum says no easter eggs, lets have flowers instead!
Sam's surprise DVD, I hope he enjoys it!
Saturday 22nd April. Another good fortnight! Friday 14th April Alan, Sandra and I went to the pictures to see ‘Shazam!’ which was very funny 😁 . Over the weekend we gave the house a bit of a spring clean, all hands to the pumps! By Sunday afternoon we all collapsed and tucked into our roast lamb dinner cooked by Sharon and Shirley. It was very nice!
On Tuesday we went to the bank with Jackie and I drew out my housekeeping 💵 money. Then we went to Nancy’s for bacon 🥓 sandwiches. A bit of a glutton day, we had 🐟 fish and chips for our evening meal and Jamie had curry sauce on his chips, greedy boy!
On Wednesday we went bowling with SEC and I got a strike!
On Thursday dad rang me to talk about our week, then we went off to Edenbridge to have our nails done with Natalia. Mine are bright blue and George chose purple. After lunch we carried on rehearsals for our Xmas panto, The Wizard of Oz. Mathew is playing the guard, but he’s useless as he keeps falling asleep!
On Saturday mum and dad took me to Tunbridge Wells and we had a look around the shops. We had lunch at the Amelia Scott cafe and looked around the museum which was very interesting. Dad bought a new pair of grey jeans.
The next time I’m over will be the May bank holiday weekend of the King’s coronation when dad is organising a picnic on the Green and Sam, Lucy and Ethan will join us!
God Save The King! 👑 !
Monday 8th May. We’ve had a good two weeks. On Saturday we went to the pictures and saw Dungeons & Dragons 🐉 which I had already seen but enjoyed watching it again as it is very funny 😂. On Tuesday last ‘Elvis’ came to Lunch Club (Scott Millard really) and he was very funny 😂 . We had baked potato, sausages and beans for lunch.
On Wednesday we went to SEC during the day and PHAB Club in the evening, where we made 👑 crowns for the coronation, which was good fun.
Dad rang me on Thursday morning and we talked about our week and the coronation weekend. When mum and dad arrived on Saturday, we watched the coronation at the house with all the guys. When it was over we drove to Sainsbury’s to do the weekly shop and buy picnic food 🥘 for Sunday when Sam, Lucy, Ethan and Marie were coming over for Westerham’s coronation picnic on The Green.
On Sunday dad left as the others arrived because he had to rig for his friend Ian Fox, the musician for the day. As we walked up to The Green, the sun ☀️ came out and it started to get warm. Ian started to play and lots of people arrived with picnics. It was all very laid-back and dad could enjoy it too as Ian had brought his own PA, so dad didn't need to rig. Ethan is now walking so he was running around and had to be captured every so often. Ian asked Lucy to sing with him and she did some beautiful Jonie Mitchell covers which was lovely.
The next time I’m over will be Saturday May 20th and we will go shopping in Tunbridge Wells, and have lunch out at Gabbys.
Saturday 20th May I’ve had a good fortnight with the guys and things are quite busy at the house. We’ve had new gates fitted at the entrance to the site and new blue carpets are one the way for the lounge and dining room. There are also new security cameras going up around the house 🏡 to stop schoolboys from breaking in to the summerhouse! we had a singer called Katie at lunch club last week, and she was very good. This week we went to the bank with Jackie and I drew out £100 for my house 🏡 keeping. For lunch 🥗 we went to Nancy’s and had bacon 🥓 sandwiches, yummy 😋 ! Tuesday is my and George’s home day so we also did our washing and tidied our rooms. On Wednesday we went to meet SEC in Gravesend and all travelled by bus to Bluewater to do some window shopping. We had a very nice Indian lunch. In the evening we went to PHAB club and had pizza and salad 🥗.
Dad rang me Thursday first thing and we chatted about our week before going to Edenbridge to see Ian and Natalia. Jean is in hospital to have an operation on her foot. Friday was bits & bobs day and I bought some wagon wheels - my diet begins next week!
Mum and dad came over on Saturday morning and mum told me we were going to Teajuns to get our hair cut and coloured. We had mince-pasta leftovers for lunch and headed off leaving dad to mow the grass. He’s left plenty of wild areas as it’s still ‘no-mow May’.
I’m next over to mum and dad’s on June 3rd and 4th, and we are going to mum and dad’s friend Karen’s secret 60th birthday party 🎉 on the Saturday, then seeing Sam, Lucy and Ethan on the Sunday, hurrah!
Concentrating on typing, but with my
new cut and colour!
Saturday 3rd June Into another month, and the sun is shining and the chilly wind has dropped! I’ve had a good fortnight and been quite busy. Last weekend we all went to Whitstable and the weather was lovely. We bought 🍦 ice-creams and sat on the prom. Then we went to ‘Lovely Jubbly’ (Del boy’s cafe) for lunch before heading back to Longfield. Monday was a bank holiday and we didn’t do much, just watched a bit of telly. Tuesday was lunch-club and banking which all went well.
On Wednesday we all went to Rochester with SEC and visited the Cathedral where I had a hot 🍫 chocolate. On Thursday we went to Edenbridge after dad had rung, but he overslept so Jackie had to ring him!
On Friday Beatrice took me and Louise to the cinema to see the new ‘Little Mermaid’ film from Disney. I enjoyed it and it was very funny 😂 .
On Saturday mum came and picked me up to go to their friend Karen’s party. Dad wasn’t there as he was helping Jonnie to rig the sound for the 🎉 party. It was a good bash and we all had a good time. Tomorrow we are seeing Sam, Lucy and Ethan, then on Monday I’m off to Brussels with the guys for a few days, yippee!
The next weekend I’ll see mum and dad will be June 17-18th when we’ll all get together to celebrate Father’s day.
Saturday 17th June It’s been very hot and sunny. On Monday last, Dominic, Gary and I went to Brussels with Jackie and Sara S for a few days mini break. We had a lovely time and visited an amazing cathedral, a very funny ‘fat cat’ 🐱 installation and the ‘Atomium’ which was like something out of ‘Star Wars’. The hotel was 😊 lovely with yummy 😋 food. We came back on Thursday, but Jackie phoned dad for me first thing.
Friday was my bits-&-bobs day, so I went to the bank with Sandra and drew out my house 🏡 keeping money 💵, then went shopping with Mel. This week I bought Twix bars and my girly magazine. In the evening I cooked a chicken 🐔 curry 🍛 with Beatrice which we all enjoyed.
On Saturday mum and dad took me to Polhill garden centre where dad bought a trellis for a wild cyclamen in their garden. It was lunch 🥗 time so we had jacket potatoes with curry (dad and me) and mum had spagbol.
Tomorrow is Fathers Day so we are meeting Sam, Lucy and Ethan at the Kings Head for lunch to celebrate 🎊 .
We've just arrived... First Brussels grub... The Fat Cat installation!
Sunday 16th July It now seems like ages ago, but we went on holiday with Sam, Lucy and Ethan to Bracklesham Bay near Chichester. We stayed in a really nice air B & B only about a mile from the beach. The weather was good and we went to the ‘Witterings’ on Sunday. East Wittering has a stony beach which Ethan liked, but the beautiful white sandy beach at West Wittering he didn’t like as walking felt weird to him. We had lunch 🥗 at The Lamb pub which was nice and visited some nice unusual shops. On the Monday, Frank and Gill came over for the day and we had a really nice picnic lunch with quiche and salad at the house. Sam and Lucy had to leave on Tuesday to get back for work, but mum, dad and I stayed for another day and went to Bosham a really pretty estuary village just outside Chichester. We had a really nice lunch 🥗 in the local pub and walked around the craft shops. I bought some pretty coasters and a postcard for Sarah, my keyworker. We went home on Wednesday and back to Longfield.
Dad rang me on Thursday as usual, but it was a day in front of the telly as no Edenbridge.
On Saturday I went to the pictures with Kelly, Louise and George to see ‘No Hard Feelings’ which was very funny 😂. The following week started a bit boring as no Edenbridge on Monday, but we played mat bowls at SEC on Wednesday which I enjoyed.
On Saturday mum and dad collected me and we went to Everyman Cinema in Oxted to see ‘Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning part 1’ with Tom Cruise which was very good.
I’ll next see mum and dad on the 29th of July when we’ll go to their friend Helen’s garden day.
first walk on beach my little nephew West Wittering sands Sam, Lucy and Ethan
Tom Cruise' leap of faith...
Saturday 29th July, Sharon’s Birthday, Happy Birthday Sharon!
I’ve just got back from a holiday in Sandringham, Norfolk with Sarah H, Jackie, Jean, Michael, Gary, Jamie and Shirley. We had a good 😊 time and visited lots of places, including the North Norfolk Steam Railway near where Sarah’s mum Barbara lives. The hotel was very nice 👍 and the food was yummy! 😋 I had my own room with TV and my own 🛀 bathroom 🚽, next door to Shirley. It only rained on one day and that was Wednesday so we went shopping out of the rain in a local mall.
We got back to Longfield on Friday night and had spaghetti bolognese with garlic bread which Sharon and I cooked.
Mum and dad picked me up this morning and we drove to Sevenoaks to buy summer tops and a birthday card for Sharon. We had lunch at Gail’s with a yummy chicken pesto 🍔 burger, which was slow coming but well worth it!
Tomorrow we are going to mum and dad’s friends Helen and David who are having a charity garden event!
The next ‘Gen weekend’ will be August 12th and the Longfield Barbecue, then back to mum and dad’s. We’ll see Sam, Lucy and Ethan there!
arriving at Sandringham... the royal gardens... afternoon tea...
the sea-life centre... the North Norfolk Railway!
Saturday 12th August It’s the Longfield barbecue today and the theme is sailors! Sarah H my keyworker helped me buy my outfit from Amazon. Mum and dad came over with coleslaw and potato salad they had made. Sam, Lucy and Ethan arrived about 12.30. I took them up to see my room with my new desk and lights and Ethan was running around very excitedly. He tried to move my laundry basket, but tripped over it and banged his forehead really hard on the foot of my bed. He cried quite a lot and a big bruise appeared on the front of his head. I fetched an ice pack for his bruise which made him laugh and he forgot the pain. We went back downstairs and had burgers, sausages and 🐔 chicken cooked by Jamie’s dad Dave, who always does the barbecue. We chatted to everyone’s parents and the staff, then it was time to go. Mum and dad drove me back to theirs, but I got upset 😭 over the dates of my next visit. We got back and dad showed me the calendar and I saw that my next visit to theirs would be on the 26th of August. I must try to stay calm and not get into a stew…
Me and dad waiting for the burgers... Me and mum after our grub... Lucy and Ethan come and join me
Monday 28th August It’s Bank Holiday Monday and we’ve had a pretty good weekend! On Saturday mum and I went to Teajun’s to get our hair cut and coloured. For tea mum cooked moussaka which was very yummy 😋! After tea we watched ‘Casualty’ then went to bed.
Sunday started bright and sunny ☀️ so we decided to go to the Edenbridge show. What a mistake that was! It took an hour travelling in a slow traffic jam. When we finally got there it took an age to park.Having found out which car parking field we were in, we set off to buy tickets which cost a princely £60 for the three of us! While we were queuing I saw Saran Vaughn from Edenbridge and her mum and dad who had come to the show. They wisely had got there really early before the traffic built up! We went into the show and had a bite to eat. Then we watched some live music - a young lass with a good voice but her guitar work just reminded us how well Lucy plays! We went and looked at cows, sheep and then the tractor parade where mum and dad took pictures for Ethan who is tractor-mad! We went to the Horticultural tent and saw the biggest onion and cabbage i'd ever seen! At about three o’clock it started to rain 🌧 so we beat a hasty retreat to the 🚗 car, then joined a queue going nowhere waiting to leave the show ground! We were an hour before we got out so we won’t be doing that again!! By the time we got back we were exhausted so decided to go out for an evening meal. The grasshopper was full so we went to the George & Dragon 🐉 where we had a fab roast dinner! Mum and I had roast chicken 🍗 and dad had roast beef. It was delicious and I treated us all to the meal. We went back to the house and had 🍉 melon to finish off.
The next time I’m over will be Saturday 9th of September and on the Sunday we’ll all go to Jill’s house in Tankerton with Sam, Lucy, Ethan, Elliot, Emily and Dave which will be very nice as I’ve never seen Jill’s seaside 🏡 house before.
Here's a tractor for Ethan...
Saturday 23rd September. It’s been a good 😊 fortnight since I last wrote the blog. We went to Jill’s and I thought the house 🏡 was very nice. 👍 During the next week we had a girl’s day out to Harry Potter World 🌎, which was very good 😊 . The boys will go next Thursday. I went to the cinema with Alan, George and Sarah H to see ‘My big fat Greek Wedding III’ which was very 😂 funny. After the cinema we went to Costa for a bite to eat.
On Tuesday after the Bank we went to Nancy’s for a 🥓 bacon sandwich (Jamie had a smelly egg 🍳 sandwich and Dominic had a sausage one).
On Saturday we were watching Mr Bean in the dining room when Gary fainted and fell off his chair. Beatrice decided he should go to hospital for a check-up as he had badly bruised his arm. The rest of us stayed in the house until they returned. Gary was o.k. then.
I am at mum and dad’s this weekend so I bought mum a bottle 🍼 of wine on my bit’s and bob’s day with Sarah H. Today we went to Tunbridge Wells to get mum’s Pandora bracelet for her birthday. We will give mum her presents tomorrow when we meet Sam, Lucy and Ethan at the White Rock pub for lunch.
My next weekend at mum and dad’s will be October 7th and 8th!

Wednesday was SEC and we went to Bluewater, taking a packed lunch to save money and cut down on the chips!
On Thursday dad rang me and we talked about our week. Then we drove to Edenbridge for our Wizard of Oz rehearsals which are going very well, apart from Matthew who keeps falling asleep 😴 !

We are seeing them on Saturday 4th November when Ethan will be two years old!
Saturday 21st October It’s been a specially good week as I went to Paris with Gary, Dominic, Alan and staff Sara S and Mel. We went on the Eurostar to Paris then had a minibus taxi to the hotel which was very nice 👍 . I had a room on my own, but I’d taken Bertram to keep me company. I also had my own shower. After we arrived, we had lunch 🥗 out and did some shopping in a chocolate 🍫 shop and bought postcards and fridge magnets.
Tuesday was spent sightseeing, then we went out for our evening meal - I had pizza 🍕 .
On Wednesday we went to the zoo. My favourite animals were the baboons, but we also saw rhinos 🦏, penguins 🐧, giraffes, otters, sea lions, cheetahs and flamingoes. I thoroughly enjoyed it all.
Thursday began with a call to dad on Mel’s mobile and I told him all we had done. Before we left to go home we went to the Eiffel Tower which I loved, but Dominic didn’t like it as he didn’t like the open staircase!
We got back to Longfield late afternoon on Thursday and we were all quite tired so had an early night.
Friday was ‘bits & bobs’ day then mum and dad picked me up on Saturday for the weekend. We’ll watch ‘Strictly’ tonight after tea. On Saturday November 4th we will see Sam, Lucy and Ethan to celebrate Lucy ’s birthday and Ethan’s big number two! Marie and Nina will join us at Pizza Express in Upminster for the celebrations! 🎉 🎊.

our sightseeing open-air bus ride around Paris...

and finally, at the castle!
Sunday 5th November. I’ve had a good 😊 two weeks despite the weather! We couldn’t go to Edenbridge because it was flooded! We still went to Lunch 🥗 Club and had a good time except for Jamie who was grumpy 😡 because he wanted baked beans instead of salad! We had a good singer called Gary who sang ‘Chas & Dave’ stuff and we had a great day. On Wednesday we went to Bluewater with SEC staff Mark and Ophelia. We looked at the Christmas 🎄 shops and had our packed lunch at Greggs.
Dad rang me on Thursday and told me about Ethan’s birthday lunch on Saturday with Sam, Lucy and Marie.
On Friday I went to the pictures with George and Jean to see Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson in the Great Escaper. The film was very funny 😂 and we all enjoyed it.
On Saturday mum and dad picked me up and we drove to Pizza Express in Upminster for Ethan and Lucy’s birthday celebrations 🎉 🎊 . After a really nice lunch we went back to Sam and Lucy’s to open their presents 🎁. Ethan was on great form and entertained us all with his dancing and singing to Lucy’s new album.
Happy Birthday Lucy & Ethan! Yum Yum, nice grub! Ethan loved his balloon
The next time I am over at mum and dad’s will be on the 18th and we will go to the Church Christmas fair.
- Ding Dong!
Sunday 19th November. I’ve had a good 😊 couple of weeks, though we haven’t been to Edenbridge because there’s been no drivers due to sickness 😷. On Tuesday I went to the bank with Louise and Beatrice to draw out my housekeeping money 💸. After that we all went to Lunch 🥙 Club. Katie the singer was there and she sang war songs like ‘Pack up your Troubles’ and ‘Keep the Home Fires Burning’. For lunch 🥗 we had Pie & Mash, one of my favourites!
On Wednesday we went to SEC and watched the film ‘Herbie rides again’ which was very funny 😂. On Thursday dad rang me first thing and we talked about our week and the coming weekend when we would go to the church Christmas 🎄 Fair.
Friday was bits and bobs day and I bought chocolate buttons and my girlie magazine that was giving away a free bracelet!
On Saturday mum and dad came over and we drove back to Westerham. We had lunch in Deli di Luca (my treat!) and I had some delicious butternut squash soup. Mum and dad had baked spuds, mum’s with prawns and dad’s with chilli! After that we went to the church market to get presents for the staff. It was very crowded but they were playing Christmas Carols so it felt quite festive. I bought a couple of gifts, but on the way back dad suggested that we visit the new Valence School charity shop and I bought some more gifts there. We’ll finish off at Sainsbury’s tomorrow. For tea we had moussaka and watched ‘Strictly’ at the Blackpool Tower ballroom - mum’s favourite! After that we watched 3 episodes of the new series of ‘The Crown’ on Netflix, which was very good. The next time I am over will be December 2nd and 3rd, when it will be the Longfield Christmas party on the Saturday. After the party I’ll go back to mum and dad’s for the weekend - hurrah, see you on page eighteen!
