Welcome to a new page, page eighteen!

It’s Sunday 3rd of December. I finished off two good weeks with the house Christmas Party 🎈 which was great fun! Kelly had us all dancing the Conga in a long line weaving in and out of the different rooms! There was lots to eat and drink 🍷and Christmas 🎄 music. Most of the staff arrived by lunchtime and helped put everything out. When mum and dad arrived we went over to Costa for coffee ☕️ and a cake.
After the party we went back to mum and dads and wrapped the staff presents 🎁. Mum sorted out who’s was which from her list, I wrote the gift tags and dad wrapped which he hates doing - ‘humbug’ - but is rather good 😊 at…

Having eaten quite a lot of yummy 😋 food at the party, we just had some snacks for tea before watching ‘Strictly’ and Harry Potter. We then watched ‘No Time to Die’ then went to bed zzz zzz 😴 .
I’m next over on the 16th of December when we’ll put the tree up and the lights on the front of the house 🏡 .

Meanwhile here's some pics from the party...

It’s Sunday 17th December and I’ve had a busy week! On Saturday last we went to the cinema in Bluewater to see 'Wonka' with Kelly. It was excellent and very funny.

Tuesday we went to Lunch Club and were entertained by a local school choir, who were very good 😊. We had a traditional Christmas lunch there with roast turkey 🦃 and all the trimmings - yummy!

On Wednesday we went with PHAB to see ‘Snow White’ which was very funny. We had another Christmas dinner at the Lion Hotel. I had duck which was very nice. Jackie and Sharon had the roast Turkey but complained that it was very dry. They were given more gravy and they seemed ok then.

Thursday was the day of our panto, ‘Wizard of Oz’! Mum and dad sat in the front row which distracted me and I kept asking them about Christmas dates! If they had sat a couple of rows back I would not have got distracted - a lesson for next time! When Jamie came on as the lion 🦁 he looked good, but realised his mum and dad were not there and had a huge melt-down! Dad and Sarah H comforted him and Ian turned the lights off to add to the calm. Jamie eventually came good and spoke his lines while mum and dad took lots of photos of us which cheered him up and we got on with the play, much to Ian’s relief!

Friday was ‘bits and bob’s’ day and I went shopping with Sarah H and George. I bought a girlie magazine and some chocolate 🍫.

On Saturday mum and dad picked me up and we met Sam and Lucy in Westerham. Dad had booked lunch at the George and 🐉 Dragon. We were greeted by Tom, dads friend who is the manager and we were very impressed that he took all our meals without writing anything down. Everything was delicious and it is a lovely pub with friendly staff. After we had finished we went back to mum and dad’s then Sam and Lucy took Ethan home with his new John Deere tractor they had bought in a charity shop. We had a cup of tea then dad and I got the Christmas tree out and mum and I decorated it.

I will be coming over to mum and dads for the Christmas break on Saturday 23rd then Sam, Lucy and Ethan will join us for Christmas Day on Monday 25th, Ho, Ho, Ho!

The performance is underway again - hooray!

We're ready to see the wizard for brain, heart and courage - and my red shoes!

Sunday 14th January. Happy New Year!!  Christmas and New Year festivities over, we’ve packed away all the decorations and the Christmas Trees at the house. Jamie has eaten the last of the Christmas cake 🎂, and its now on to New Year diets all round! We went to see ‘Aquaman’ at Bluewater on the Longfield weekend, and bumped into Sam, Lucy and Ethan which was a nice surprise! We have a new shiny black mini-bus at Longfield called ‘Dave’ and used it for the first time this week on our trips to Edenbridge. On Mondays Ian is teaching us how to make stained glass windows. It’s very interesting! We also played ‘Wheel of Fortune’ which was great fun. Tuesday was the first day of ‘Lunch Club’ 2024! We had bangers and mash with peas and carrots and there was a raffle. Jamie and I won - guess what! - chocolate 🍫!
Wednesday was SEC and we did short mat Bowls.
Thursday first thing I spoke to dad, then on to Edenbridge to start our next performance called ‘African Choir’ which involves a lot of singing!

Friday was bits and bobs day and Garys birthday. We had a party at the house 🏡 with bubbly and quiche, sausage rolls, pork pies and spring rolls - quite a mixture but yummy 😋.

On Saturday mum and dad took me to Tunbridge Wells for some shopping and a bite to eat at ‘Bills’ (my treat!). In the evening dad cooked 'rubber-neck' chicken stir fry which was quite hot, but delicious! We watched Michael McIntyre's Midnight Game Show, Pointless and Casualty, then off to bed zzzz.

The next time I’m over will be 27-28th January…

Sunday 28th January. Last Friday I went the cinema with Jennifer and Jamie to see ‘The Hunger Games, Birdsong and Snakes’. It was a good 😊 story but rather gory!

On Monday we didn't go to Edenbridge because it was too stormy and windy. We did go to Slimming World in the evening though, and I have lost a bit more weight which is a good!
Tuesday was lunch club as usual and we had entertainment with Gary the singer who does ‘Chas and Dave’ covers with a backing track. We had a yummy chicken 🐔 casserole for lunch and had a good laugh as usual!
On Wednesday we went to SEC and I saw ‘Wonka’ for the THIRD time, but I still enjoyed it!!
On Thursday I spoke to dad first thing then we went to Edenbridge for our rehearsal of our new musical, ‘African Choir’ with Ian. I’m playing a woman called ‘Emily’ and the music is really nice 👍.

Friday was ‘bits n bobs’ day and I went to the Co-op with Jean and bought my magazine and a flake - hands off Jamie! In the evening I made Fahitas with Sharon. We made them with roast 🦃 turkey, 🍚 rice, 🌶 peppers and peas and they were very nice 👍.
On Saturday mum and dad took me to Sevenoaks and we went to Gail’s for lunch and had spicy 🐔 chicken and pesto 🍔 burgers. Mum and I went to Seasalt and she bought a dress and I bought a top. We then bought a nice birthday card for auntie Gill. In the evening I treated us all to an Indian takeaway from the Tulsi restaurant in Westerham. ‘Tulsi’ means ‘Basil’ in India and they make really good curries!

I will next be over to mum and dads on February 10tn, Saturday week, talk to you then!

Sunday 11th February. I’ve had a good 😊 week and been quite busy. Last weekend the weather was rubbish so we hung around the house and watched telly.

Sunday was different though because it was Alan’s birthday! We stayed in the house and had a Mexican party for him. Sharon and Sarah H were on that weekend so it was a good do with fried chicken 🐔, meatballs, pitta bread and quiche - yummy!

On Monday we went to Edenbridge and Shirley, Michael and I did art with Rita. We made a dartboard with all the colours and numbers out of cardboard. We were very pleased with the result! In the afternoon we went to lunch-club. For entertainment we had Tim and Ruth singing Abba like Karaoke. They were very good 😊. It was a banking week so I went with Sandra to Nationwide and drew out £100 for the week.

On Wednesday we all went to the pictures with SEC and I saw ‘Aquaman, lost kingdom’ for the second time - this is getting to be a habit! I still enjoyed it though, as it is very funny.

Dad phoned me as usual on Thursday and we chatted about our week before going to Edenbridge to see my mate Ian. We had another rehearsal for our musical ‘African Choir’ which we are all enjoying!

Friday was my ‘bits and bobs' day so I went to the Co-op with Sharon and Shirley and got my girlie magazine and a chrispie chocolate bar and coke - don’t tell ‘slimming world’!

Mum and dad picked me up on Saturday and we went to Baverstock Farm for chicken food before my treat of lunch at Napoli, mum and my favourite! We both had 🍖 meatballs and dad had a steak salad 🥗 that looked very nice. In the afternoon we watched ‘Glass Onion’ with Daniel Craig and his ridiculous accent, but its’s a good movie so never mind!

The next time I’m over will be February 24-25 and we’ll have lunch at Deli di Luca on the Saturday. We will meet Sam, Lucy and Ethan on the Sunday at the ‘Jobber’s Rest’ in Upminster to celebrate Sam and my birthday’s with a good roast - yum yum! 👅

Both looking rather hunky...                                               Napoli e our favourite restaurant!

Saturday 24th February. I’ve had a good 😊 fortnight. On the first Wednesday it was Valentines day and we had an Indian takeaway at the house. I got Valentines cards from Jamie and Dominic which was nice. My Indian meal was chicken jalfrezi and it was delicious 😋! At the weekend I went to the pictures with George, Alan and Sandra to see ‘Migration’ which was very 😁 funny.
Monday was Edenbridge as usual and I worked on my stained glass window with Ian. It’s coming on very well. In the afternoon we played Michael Macintyre’s ‘The Wheel’ which was great fun!
Tuesday there was no lunch club so we went to Nancy’s and I had a bacon sandwich, yum yum 👅.
On Wednesday we went to SEC and played short mat bowls in the local church, which was good 😊 fun.
On Thursday dad rang me as usual and we had a chat before I went to Edenbridge to practice our African Choir musical with Ian which went well.
Friday was bits and bobs day and I went to the Co-op with Beatrice and Shirley. I bought a birthday card for my brother Sam, a girlie magazine, some chocolate buttons and a coke.

It’s Saturday today and mum and dad picked me up and we went to Sainsbury’s for the weekly shop. Jackie’s son Keiran has just become a dad to a beautiful baby boy who they have called Jack. Mum and I chose a nice baby 👶 grow for him, and a card for Shirley who is going to be 70!
Tomorrow we are off to the Jobbers Rest for lunch with Sam, Lucy and Ethan, to celebrate my and Sam’s birthdays.

Staff at Jobbers Rest, always a jolly bunch

We will celebrate dad’s on the 23rd March when I’ll also get my hair 💁 done on the 24th.

Its March 10th already and it’s Mothers Day! We celebrated this yesterday when Sam, Lucy & Ethan came over. Mum has had her hip operation but she’s on crutches with some discomfort. We decided as we had all brought dad’s presents over to celebrate his birthday too! Mum had big bunches of flowers 🌺 from us all and perfume from me and her favourite chocolates 🍫 from Sam. Dad had interesting books from me and Sam. Lucy had made some yummy soda bread rolls with ham, cheese 🧀 and coleslaw, and had brought little sausage rolls as well.

Last weekend the guys and I celebrated my birthday at the Silver Spoon Chinese Restaurant in Dartford. I had sweet and sour chicken 🐔 with rice 🍚 and it was lovely 😊.

On Monday (my birthday) we had a 🎈 party at Edenbridge which was very enjoyable and they all wished me ‘Happy Birthday’.

On Tuesday we went to Lunch club and did our banking with Sandra & on Wednesday we went to Bluewater with SEC.
On Thursday back at Edenbridge after my phone call with dad, Ian surprised us with starting a new play for Christmas to be ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ and I’ve got the lead role! Jamie is going to be the big bad wolf 🐺!

Friday was bits and bobs day and I went to the Co-op with Sandra and bought my mag and a peppermint Aero and some coke cans - hands off Jamie!

Dad picked me up for this weekend on his own as mum needs plenty of rest at the moment!

The next time I’m over will be 23rd and 24th and mum and I will celebrate dads birthday with lunch at The Rendezvous - my treat!

On Sunday 24th Tejan will come over to cut, colour and blow-dry my hair - hurrah!

Ethan enjoys a joke with his Auntie Gen...

Its March 23rd and we’ve been to The White Hart in Brasted to celebrate dad’s birthday at last! It’s mum’s first day out to a restaurant since she had her hip done, so quite exciting! Last weekend we celebrated Shirley’s 70th birthday 🎈 at Longfield with afternoon tea 🍵 at ‘Lunch Club’. There was a singer called Debora who sang Abba songs - Gary's favourite!  Shirley's brother and sister were there and we all had a good 😊 time. On Sunday we were back at Lunch Club for a ploughman’s lunch as a help-yourself buffet. There was a band playing for entertainment and a couple of us got up and danced!
At Edenbridge on Monday we celebrated Shirley’s birthday for the third time in a row! We played ‘Rolling in it’ with Ian and it was very funny 😂.
On Tuesday we went to the bank with Sara S and had lunch at Nancy’s. I had my usual bacon 🥓 sandwich!

It’s Saturday March 30th and tomorrow is Easter Sunday. Dad cooked a very nice 🐔 chicken and lentil curry 🍛 last night, then we watched ‘👻 ‘Ghostbusters, the Afterlife’ which was very good 😊. Today after a lazy start, we will go to the supermarket for the weekly shop. Tonight we may get an Indian take-away from Tulsi or dad may make a spag bol!

Most of the guys have gone back to their parents for Easter except for Louise, Michael, Shirley and Alan.

Today is the best Easter weather, but tomorrow and Monday are both forecasting rain! On Monday - April Fools day -Sam, Lucy & Ethan are coming over and we will go to Pollhill Garden Centre for lunch and a look 👀 round.

The next time I’m over to mum & dads will be next week, 6th & 7th of April, to readjust my schedule to fit in with Saran H and the guys for cinema trips.

Polhill Garden Centre and a windmill for Ethan...

Sunday April 7th. My readjustment weekend! Sam and Lucy brought Ethan over last Monday, but we decided not to go to Polhill as we thought it would be rammed!

We stayed at mum and dad’s and Lucy had brought over quiches and a green salad 🥗 for our lunch. Ethan enjoyed running 🏃‍♀️ around the garden, feeding the fish 🐠 and the chickens 🐔. He picked dandelions and explored the woods by the chicken run. 🏃 They left late afternoon and mum and dad took me back to Longfield. On Tuesday I went to lunch club with the guys. Jamie was a bit grumpy, but that’s nothing new, cured easily by beans, sausages and a jacket potato 🥔!

In the afternoon Sandra took Gary and me to the bank to draw out our weekly money 💵. On Wednesday we went to Bluewater with SEC and had a Chinese lunch 🥙 - I chose 🍛 curry for mine which was very nice!

Thursday morning dad rang me first thing and we had a nice chat about the week. We then piled into the mini-🚎 bus and went to Edenbridge. We had another rehearsal of our African Choir and it went well apart from Matthew who fell 😴 asleep and missed most of it! Ian had to wake him up! Dominic was on cooking duties that evening with Sarah H, so we had the inevitable chicken 🍗 nuggets! - he must improve his repertoire...

Friday was bits & bobs day so I went with Jean to the Co-op and bought my girly magazine. I cooked the evening meal with Sandra and we had Fajitas and 🥗 salad with peas, broccoli and carrots 🥕 .

On Saturday mum and dad picked me up and we drove to Sevenoaks. We had a yummy chicken and pesto burger with coffee at Gails then mum and I went to Seasalt to spend my birthday voucher from Liz and Dudley on a new dress, while dad stayed in Gails reading his book!

For dinner that evening we had Chilli and chips and watched ‘Blankety Blank’ and Casualty.

We’ll go back to Longfield via Sainsbury’s this afternoon and then the next time I’m over will be April 20th and 21st! See you then! 💋 x

Sunday April 21st. I’ve had a great 😊 week. Last Friday Sarah H took me to see ‘Tina Turner - the Musical’ which was fabulous. We stayed overnight in a hotel near theatre-land and went to Francis’ Cafe for a pizza 🍕which was very nice but very large! We came back on Saturday. The guys had been to see ‘Ghostbusters, Frozen Empire’ which they all enjoyed! On Wednesday we went to the cinema to see Timothy Spalls’ Wicked Little Letters in Dartford, which was very clever and made us 😂 laugh. It starred Jessie Buckley and Olivia Coleman who were both very good 😊.

On Friday we went to see ‘Dune’ at Bluewater which blew me away! Sam had said how good it was though a bit violent, and he was right! I went with Kelly and Jamie, and Jamie fell asleep 💤 😴 but Kelly and I enjoyed it.

A week of film-fest!
On Saturday mum and dad drove me to Tunbridge Wells to buy some new slippers and we had lunch at Bills. I had chicken 🐔 curry 🍛 , dad had steak and mum had a naked burger 🍔. Mum is walking alright now without her crutches, hurrah 😄!

In the evening dad cooked ‘rubberneck’, his special chicken 🍗 stir-fry which was yummy! While he was cooking, we watched ‘Swallows & Amazons’ which was good 😊. After our meal we watched Casualty with its usual amount of angst and drama!

The next time I'm over will be the May Bank Holiday, 4th - 6th May. Sam, Lucy and Ethan will come over on the Monday for Westerham’s ‘Beating the Bounds/Fair on the Green when Lucy is playing her music as one of the entertainment slots. There will be maypole dancing and Ethan will get to see his first Punch and Judy, probably with baby Bill, the crocodile and sausages! Here’s to good weather!
