Saturday April 10th

Welcome to page twelve!  Apart from the cold weather, we had a good 😊 week. I was at mum and dad’s on Monday, but went back to Longfield in the afternoon. Tuesday was my and George’s home-🏡 day so I tidied my room and did my washing. I didn’t need to go to the bank this week, but Lina took me and Louise out for a walk around the village to give us a bit of exercise! The boys are too lazy and didn't join us!
On Wednesday we Skype’d Edenbridge and spoke to Ian, Katie, Jean and the guys. They are all well, and Katie had some good news, she’s pregnant 🤰 again and due in May when she'll have a little baby girl which they are going to call Daisy! We had Chicken 🍗 Carbonara for tea cooked by Gary with Jackie’s help and it was very nice 👍.
On Thursday dad rang me and we talked about our week.
On Friday we just lazed around and watched tally. For tea I helped Sara and Jean cook 👨‍🍳 beef burgers in a bun with spicy wedges and peas which was yummy 😋 . Gary doesn’t like 🍔 burgers, so he had fish 🐟 cakes instead. We watched the early evening news and learned that Prince 👑 Philip had died which made me feel sad 😭.
On Saturday mum and dad picked me up for the weekend. On the way back dad pointed out Union Jack flags flying at half-mast in respect for Prince Philip who was two months away from being 100 years old. Tomorrow we’ll Skype Sam and Lucy

Sunday April 18th

It’s been mostly dry and bright this week and around 10 degrees following the SNOW on Monday!! We Skype’d the guys at Edenbridge. They were all well but it appears Katie is not pregnant 🤰 after all…!
For tea Jamie cooked 'spag-bol' with Mel which was very 👍 nice.
Tuesday was my and George’s home-day, so I did my washing and went to the bank with Jamie and Mel, and to Nancy's for a bacon 🥓 sandwich which was very nice. For tea we had a beef omelette with baked sweet potatoes and salad cooked by George and Jean. We all enjoyed it except Gary who put his in the bin saying he wasn’t hungry! Jean told him off for wasting food.
Wednesday we Skype’d Edenbridge again and Ian had the giggles and made me laugh 😂. In the afternoon we watched ‘Naked Gun’ again and still found it funny 😂. For tea we had Chicken 🍗 curry 🍛 cooked by Gary and Jackie. Gary didn’t put his in the bin this time, but ate it sensibly instead.
On Thursday dad rang me first thing and I told him we were going to Herne Bay for the day. We had a great 👍 day but it rained at lunch-time so we ate our sandwiches in the mini-bus 🚌. In the afternoon the sun came out so we went for a ☕️ cup of tea before heading back for a 🐟 fish and chip supper to 🎉 celebrate Dominic’s birthday. He celebrated with a battered sausage!
On Friday I went out for a walk with Rika, Alan, George and Louise, before George went home for the weekend. For lunch we had 🍗 Chicken wraps from the Co-op, then baked salmon with sweet potatoes 🍠 and vegetables 🥒 for tea which was very nice 👍.
On Saturday mum and dad arrived in dad’s car as mum’s power steering needs repairing. After lunch, Teagan came over to cut and colour mum’s and my hair.
On Sunday morning dad’s friend Jo came over and gave dad a much-needed haircut as he was starting to look like Father Christmas 🎅! After that we ‘whatsapped’ Sam and Lucy on mum’s phone 📱and caught up with their news before dad and I wrote this weekend’s blog. More next week!

Saturday April 24th

A dry and bright week that got warmer towards the end. On Monday we Skype’d Edenbridge and caught up with the news. Ian got the giggles again but the guys are all ok. For tea we had 🍖 meatballs with pasta 🍝 cooked by boyfriend number 1 and Mel, which was lovely 😊!

On Wednesday morning we watched tv then in the afternoon we Skype’d Edenbridge again. No great news, just general chitchat, but nice 👍 talking to them. For tea Gary and Jackie cooked jacket potatoes 🥔 with 🧀 cheese and beans which is good 😊 comfort food 🥘 for us all, and fart power for Jamie…! (Jackie told him off).
Thursday morning first thing, dad rang me. I told him it was Jean’s birthday 🎈, and George’s birthday is coming up soon. She wants to go to ‘Efsane’ our local Turkish restaurant, and Jean has booked that for next Wednesday.
On Friday morning Rika took me, Alan and Shirley out for a walk. The girls had beef stir-fry for tea, and the boys had Chicken 🍗 Kievs with chips and beans.
Mum and dad arrived on Saturday morning in mum’s repaired 🚗 car and we drove to Sevenoaks for lunch 🥗 and some retail therapy! I bought a necklace for Georgina, a card for Kim and a card for Liz, mum and dad’s neighbour. Dad bought some jeans, pants and vests and a new puffer jacket as his old one is looking pretty tatty. Mum bought some new shoes 👟 like mine, which are very comfortable. For tea mum is cooking moussaka, my favourite! We’ll Skype Sam and Lucy in the morning!

Saturday 1st May, pinch punch!

Its been an ok week, but the weather has turned cold again! On Monday we Skype’d Edenbridge as usual - they were all 👌 ok but apparently Travor has left, so who’s in charge I wonder… We had chicken 🍗 curry for tea cooked by Jamie with Mel’s help. Everyone enjoyed it.
Tuesday was my and George’s 🏡 home-day and George’s birthday 🎊 🎁 🎂 ! We were supposed to go out for a meal on Wednesday but it was postponed as she hadn’t had a swab-test. We are going to book it for next Wednesday instead. I went to the bank with Sara and Dominic, and I drew out £50 to see me through the week.
On Thursday dad rang me first-thing after breakfast 🥞 and I told him we are going to Herne Bay on Monday. In the afternoon we went to Meopham medical centre and had our second jab. I asked mum and dad to support me, which they did, but it didn’t hurt anyway. When we got back I watched ‘Paddington Bear 1’ with Louise, George and Alan which we all enjoyed and thought it was 😂 funny! For tea we had mushroom 🍝 pasta which Dominic cooked with Sara. It was very good and Louise wanted seconds, but luckily there was a bit left, so she could!

On Thursday dad rang me first thing and I told him about Edem’s and Peace’s new baby 👶 girl called Presley, who was born last Friday and is doing very well.
Friday was my and George’s second wash-day and Michael’s home-day. He was a bit grumpy 😡 and wouldn’t lay the table, so Sara and I helped him before we made dinner which was stir-fry veg and noodles and Teriyaki chicken 🍗. Dominic and Gary didn’t fancy that so they had a 🍛 curry instead!
On Saturday morning mum and dad picked me up for the weekend. When we got to mum and dad’s, Sam and Lucy were there as they were going to the kitchen design shop to discuss a new kitchen. They had bought us some lovely chocolates from dad’s friend Deepac, who runs ‘Chocs on The Green’. They were very nice!
