Back at mum and dads while my new bathroom is fitted…

Mum and dad picked me up last night (Monday July 5th), and after taking lateral flow tests, they were allowed into the house to help me pack. It will take Patrick about nine days to install my new bathroom 🚽 and tile the walls, so I’ll stay at mum and dads until he’s finished.
On Tuesday morning I watched some tv while dad did his emails and finished an article he’s writing for the local newspaper. We were just about to go to Deli di Luca for lunch when the heavens opened and the power went off! We waited until the rain had stopped, then walked up to Deli where Tash told us they had no power either! Having got there we decided to have cold Quiche and salad 🥗 and blood-orange 🍊’San Pelegrino’. It was all very tasty 😋 ! On the way back we dropped into Richard the butchers' and dad bought sausages and root veg to make a 🥘 casserole for tea. More later...

Tuesday July 13th

Still at mum and dads, Patrick spoke to dad earlier and he should complete my bathroom tomorrow, I look forward 👀 to seeing the finished result!
On Sunday Sam and Lucy came over and we went to the Little Grasshopper for lunch. Mum, Lucy and I had roast chicken 🐔, dad had roast beef and Sam had a peri-peri  chicken burger🐥 🍔. I shared a cheesecake with dad and mum shared an ice-cream sundae with Sam - Yum!
On Monday I went back to Edenbridge for the first time in fourteen months! It was only a half-day session, but good 😊 to be back. Dad spoke to Shard in the evening and he can’t do Sam and Lucy’s electrics for their new kitchen after all - dad was not pleased. He has spoken to another guy in Upminster called Tony Brooks and Tony is going to look at what needs doing tonight. Dad and I will go out for coffee at 11.30 today and may have a rocky-road  or slice of carrotcake...

As it happened we both had a large slice of carrot cake 🍰 which was very nice but will probably give dad indigestion!

When we got back, I watched some tv while dad wrote his agenda for the ‘Country Fayre’ planning meeting that will take place in the Little Grasshopper at 6 o’o'clock tonight. In the afternoon dad and I walked up to the Tudor Rose for a cup of tea ☕️ with Christina. As dad was out for the evening, mum and I had fish-cakes 🐟 for tea with parsley sauce which was yummy! 😋 When dad got back he phoned Sam to see how it had gone with Tony the electrician. Sam said he was a really nice guy and can do the work the week before the kitchen fit, so all’s well!

It’s Sunday July 18th and it’s VERY hot!

I’m at mum and dad’s and dad and I are on the bottom patio under the umbrella writing my blog.
Yesterday mum and dad did a lateral flow test at the house 🏡 so that they could come in to see my new 🛀 bathroom. 🚽 They were blown away and thought Patrick had done a great 👍 job! Mum and I went to Sainsbury’s to buy a new laundry basket and floor standing toilet roll holder. We got the toilet roll holder, but they were sold out of the laundry baskets like my one at mum and dad’s, so we bought a white netting one ☝️ instead. That will live in my bedroom to make more room in the bathroom.
We Skype’d Sam and Lucy this morning and told them about my bathroom (dad will send some pictures) and had a look 👀 at their stripped-out kitchen. They are having trouble getting hold of Tony the electrician, but hopefully he will respond on Monday!

Here are dad’s pictures of my new 🚽 bathroom!

Its Sunday July 25th and another month nearly gone! The weather has been very hot and sunny, but it’s taken a turn now it's the weekend. Yesterday I went to the cinema in Oxted with mum and dad to see ‘The Croods 2’ which was very funny 😂 We had a coffee ☕️ afterwards (dad had a glass of wine🍷) and chatted about the film and all the trailers they had screened before the film. There’s lots to go and see over the coming months! Mum cooked moussaka for tea and it was yummy 🤤 ! We watched Casualty and a documentary about a service station farm shop in the lake district, which was interesting.
During the week I went to see ‘Cruella De Ville’ with Jackie and we both enjoyed it. After the film we went to ‘Five Guys’ and had a beef burger 🍔. The star cook of the week was Alan who cooked a beef pie with Sharon. We had potato and baked beans to go with it - not good with Mr Farty-Pants around!
On Friday night I cooked 👨‍🍳 chicken 🐔 🍛 curry with Sharon and that was also rather 😊 good, but Michael wouldn’t eat it, so he just went without!

See you next week!

Its Sunday August 1st - Pinch, Punch 🤛, first of the month!

The weather has been a bit rubbish this week, but I had a good week nonetheless. On Monday we went to Edenbridge and did painting 🎨 with Ian which was good fun.
On Tuesday I went on a health walk with Sara, Mel, Alan, George and Louise. Gary, Jamie and Michael were too lazy to join us, and Dominic had gone home 🏡. Jamie was star cook of the week, with a chicken 🐔 curry 🍛, helped by Mel. It was delicious, but Michael wouldn’t eat it, so he went without. He did have a cake 🍰 though!
On Thursday I spoke to dad about our week and then in the evening Jean and I cooked a stir-fry with beef, vegetables and noodles 🍝 . We used soy sauce and garlic and Lea and Perrins Worcester sauce. It was yummy 😋 ! On Saturday I went with mum and dad to Margaret’s memorial service at the church in Westerham. She actually died in April, but because of lock-down, the family had to wait until now to hold the service. It was led by a lady vicar called Wendy and she was very nice 👍. There was a do put on at the hall afterwards and we sat with Liz and dad’s friend Alan who sneezed 🤧 a lot and ate jelly babies 👶 for his diabetes ! The food 🥘 was amazing 😋 and I went back for some more. Dad had planned to cook a lamb curry for tea, but we were all too stuffed, so we had cheese on toast instead. We’ll have the curry next Saturday… yippee!
We will Skype Sam and Lucy at 11.30 today and hear 👂how their kitchen refit is going - very exciting!

It’s Saturday August 7th, and I've had a great 👍 week! We went to Edenbridge on Monday and Thursday as they are now fully open again, hurrah! 😄. This week’s star dish was chicken 🐔 pasta, 🍝 cooked by Gary and Jackie. It was really nice 👍.
On Tuesday I went to the bank with Shirley and Jackie and drew out £30 for the week. I didn’t need to cook this week as we had a take-away Chinese on Friday night which was scrummy!
My new towel rail won’t stay on the door as the wet towels are too heavy, so mum and dad have ordered me a free-standing one from Dunelm! We had a really nice lunch at Rendezvous which was my treat!! Edem has ordered me a funky new fridge for my room to keep Jamie away from my drinks and chocolate 🍫!
We are going to Sam and Lucy’s tomorrow to see their new kitchen at last! We have some new baby-grows for them as a surprise!

Saturday August 14th I’ve had a great week. On Monday and Thursday we went to Edenbridge. Katie had the week off, but I did art with Ian. And he made me laugh as usual! The star dish of the week was chicken hotpot cooked by Sharon and me on Friday. It was very nice but Michael wouldn’t eat it and had a sandwich instead.
On Tuesday we went on a health walk with Mel and Leah, but Gary, Jamie and Michael were lazy boys and wouldn’t join us. We had bacon 🥓 sarnies at Nancy’s, yum, yum! We watched all the usual soaps during the week and have started on the new series of Masterchef which is going well.
On Saturday we went to Polhill Garden Centre to buy some pond weed, but they had sold out, so we will have to ring up before next week. They have re-opened the cafe there though, so we had a nice 👍 🥗 lunch. Mum and I had jacket potatoes and dad had a coronation chicken baguette.

Saturday August 21st. I’ve had a good week and it feels like things might be returning to normal… Lunch Club will be opening in September, so is PHAB and SEC will be opening in October! My week will be full again, yippee! Last Friday we went to Gravesend again after dropping Alan off in Dartford. We had some photos to pick up and we had a bite to eat in a cafe there. I had a 🧀 cheese and tomato 🍅 sandwich and Kim had a 🧀 cheese and onion sandwich. Shirley had ham and tomato and Gary, Louise, Jamie and George had egg 🥚.
On Tuesday I went to the bank with Leah and I drew out £30 for the week. The star dish of the week was pasta carbonara with bacon and chicken 🐔 cooked by Jackie and Gary. It was very nice 👍 .

On Wednesday we all went to Ruxley Manor Garden Centre for a cream tea which was nice 👍 . Dad rang me on Thursday and we talked about our week.
Friday was my and George’s second wash-day and we had chicken 🐔 pie for tea with Brussels sprouts - watch out, Windy Miller’s about! Our new summer-house has been built and it’s very exciting! They need to finish the roof and paint it brown, then it will be ready in time for the 🍗 BBQ!
We will Skype Sam and Lucy in the morning and tell each other all our news.

Sunday August 29th. We’ve had an o.k. week, nothing special. The weather has been very moody, with chilly winds and not much sun ☀️. On Monday and Thursday we went to Edenbridge, did computers with Ian and practiced for our pantomime ‘Jack and the beanstalk’ which we will hold in December. This week’s star dish was Spaghetti 🍝 Bolognese cooked by George, me and Mel. Jamie was supposed to help too, but was too lazy to get involved…
Good news! They have finished the summerhouse and it has power to run the tv and Gary’s water fountain! We are holding the house barbecue on Saturday and all our parents and friends are coming - yippee! Mum and dad are going to make coleslaw and potato salad and other parents will bring dishes too. Jamie’s dad will run the barbecue as he’s rather good at that.
We’ve laid out all the tables with yellow cloths and bunches of sunflowers 🌻 and we’ll pretend it’s summer even though it feels more like October!
In the end the rain held off and we all had a good 😊 time, eating, drinking and chatting. It’s a bank-holiday weekend so I will stay at mum and dads for two nights and three days. Dad has booked for us to go to the Grasshopper for Sunday lunch which will be my treat! We went to buy some pondweed at Polhill Aquatic centre and then Tatsfield Aquatics, but neither of them had any so we’ll have to buy some on-line.

Saturday September 11th

Last Saturday mum and I went to Teajun’s for a cut and blow-dry. My hair is now seriously purple!
On Sunday we went to Sue and John’s Golden wedding anniversary 🎉 party in Farnham. There were speeches (of course!) and 🥂 champagne and it was a nice 👍 occasion with glorious weather. Seth and Ave were there so we met baby Tadhg for the first time. He’s chubby and very cute!
I had a good week and ‘lunch club’ has opened it’s doors again!
On Monday we went to Edenbridge and did art with Ian and rehearsed the Christmas Panto.
On Tuesday we went on a health walk with Leah and Sara and covered 4 miles! Alan, Shirley, George, Jamie and I then went to Lunch Club and met Katie, Christine and Roy. For lunch we had Quiche, salad 🥗 and jacket potatoes, all very yummy 👅! The meal of the week was cheesy pasta cooked by Jamie and Rike - it was delicious! 😋
On Thursday dad rang me first thing and we caught up with all the news, then off to Edenbridge again. Friday was George and my second wash day and Michaels home day. For tea Rike and I made Lasagne with salad 🥗 which was definitely delicious! Mum and dad picked me up on Saturday and we drove to Tunbridge Wells. We had a good lunch on the sunny ☀️ terrace at ‘Bill’s’. Mum and I had crab 🦀 cakes and dad had steak and chips, then dad bought some new sandals in Clerks sale. Dad and I will cook chicken 🐔 curry for tea tonight then tomorrow we’ll Skype Sam and Lucy for a catch-up about our week…

Sunday September 19th

I’ve had a good and interesting week. I went to the bank with Kim on Tuesday to get my week’s money out, then we went to lunch-club.
On Wednesday I had a meeting with Fiona from Social Services along with Vee and Kim and mum and dad. It was a good 😊 meeting. After the meeting, I went with Jean to get my nails done. I chose pink this time.
The star meal this week was Chilli con Carne with garlic bread and rice cooked 🥘 by me and Rike. It was very good 😊 , but Gary threw his in the bin again, and he got told off by Jackie as its a waste!
Dad phoned 📱 me on Thursday and he had to use the office phone as the payphone is busted!
On Friday I went to Bluewater with Louise, George, Shirley, Sara, Mel and Rike. Mum came over on Saturday and we went to Bluewater again and had lunch at Bills. We both had fish 🐟 pie and it was very 👍 nice. Dad was running the Country Fayre on The Green, so we went there afterwards. It was warm and sunny ☀️ and the live music was very good. There were crowds of people having a good time. Dad’s friend Farmer Terry provided 12 straw bales for people to sit on while they watched the bands and punch & Judy - the baby is always called Bill like my dad! I bought a bracelet from Christina to support the Church in 🇵🇪 Peru. They had some lamas on the stall, but there was no sign of Paddington… We will Skype Sam and Lucy in the morning to catch up on everyone’s news!

Saturday September 25th. Another good week. The sewer has burst outside Efsane our local Turkish restaurant, so Thames Water 💦 will have to come and fix it! The star dish of the week in the house was Thai green curry cooked by Jackie and Gary which was lovely, though Louise thought it was too spicy 🌶 !
On Tuesday we all went on a health walk round the park, though Gary dropped out, lazy boy. It was good fun and we did four laps 🏊 and Shirley was knackered!
On Thursday dad phoned me on the office phone as the payphone is still busted. Later that day we rehearsed our play at Edenbridge but Matthew kept falling asleep 😴 which is not good when you are the narrator!
On Friday we went to Lunch Club coffee morning for tea and cakes and Jackie won a bottle of wine in the raffle. In the afternoon we watched the 40th birthday 🎉 episode of ‘Only Fools & Horses’ which was very 😂 funny. Mum and dad came to pick me up for the weekend and we were supposed to be having Sunday lunch at mum and dads with Sam and Lucy, but there is a silly panic buying thing going on with ⛽️ petrol at the moment and they didn’t have enough to drive over. We drove to Wolfe garage where luckily there was only a small queue. We got in just in time as they closed the pumps 2 cars 🚗 after ours. We filled up and can now drive to Sam and Lucy’s tomorrow - phew! 😅

Saturday October 2nd. Yesterday was the 1st day of October - pinch, punch, first of the month! We’ve had quite a good 😊 week and it’s been quite busy. There was no Edenbridge on Monday due to staff training, which Leah had to attend. Tuesday was my and George’s home day. Mel took Louise and me to the bank and I drew out £100 to pay 💰 my bills for the week, while handyman Gary did my bathroom floor. I was very pleased with the result! On Wednesday Gary and Jackie cooked the star ⭐️ dish of the week which was Thai Green Curry 🍛. It was very good 😊. Dad rang me on Thursday, but still had to use the office phone ☎️ as the pay-phone is still knackered. After that we drove to Edenbridge to rehearse our play and a half-day of computers with Ian. On Friday I helped Jackie with the evening meal and we made mushroom 🍄 pasta 🍝 and garlic 🥖 bread which was scrummy! When mum and dad picked me up on Saturday it was pouring with 🌧 rain ☔️ as we drove to Sainsbury”s, but we got all the shopping, wine and bits for our Thai beef curry 🍛 that dad and I will make. We”ll Skype Sam and Lucy in the morning and chat through our week.

Sunday October 10th. We’ve had a great 👍 week. Tuesday was lunch-club (burgers and beans!) then a longish health walk round the park for a couple of hours. The star meal 🥘 this week was spaghetti 🍝 carbonara with bacon 🥓 cooked by George and Kim. It was delicious 😋 ! We went to Edenbridge twice this week, Monday and Thursday, 😊 both were good.
On Wednesday Phab started again - hurrah! and we had a good time catching up with friends we haven’t seen for ages!
Dad rang me on the staff ☎️ phone on Thursday and we had a good 😂 laugh. Friday was my and George’s second wash-day then I helped Rika cook chicken pie for tea which all the guys liked.
When mum and dad picked me up on Saturday we bumped into Jamie’s dad Dave which was nice 👍. On the way back it was very misty and mum had to drive with her lights on, but by the time we got to Otford the sun had come out ! The rest of the day was warm and sunny ☀️ and we worked in the garden, clearing the bottom patio as dad’s friend Ben will start rebuilding it next week. There was lots to do and we were all exhausted 😩 when we were finished. Dad’s friend Stuart came over to help move some of the heavy stuff, in exchange for some new hose-pipe, a fair exchange!
On Sunday we Skype'd Sam and Lucy and heard all about their on-line ante-natal class that lasted all day! It won't be long now until the baby comes...

Sunday October 17th. Another good week in the house 🏡. Monday and Thursday at Edenbridge, and Ian is back from his holidays. This weeks star dish was Salmon and salad 🥗 with new potatoes 🥔, cooked by George and Sharon. Gary couldn’t eat all of his dinner so put it in the bin again! Jean told him off.
On Tuesday we went to Lunch club and had fish 🐟 and chips which was yummy 😋! Afterwards I went to the bank with Jamie and Jackie and I drew out £100 for the week!
On Wednesday we all went to Phab Club and I caught up with all my friends. I did puzzles and sewing with Shirley, then we played Bingo which was fun.
Dad rang me on Thursday (still on the staff ☎️ phone), I was a bit 😢 tearful as my period had started, but dad reminded me it only lasts a few days.
On Friday we went shopping in Dartford and I bought an infuser for Lucy’s birthday 🎉 🎁. We will see them on Saturday 23rd - 12.30 at theirs for tea ☕️ and cake 🍰.
This Saturday we went to see the Bond film ‘No Time To Die’ which was fantastic! It’s Daniel Craig’s last film as James Bond, but I’m sure its not his last movie appearance…
We Skype’d Sam and Lucy just now and had a good chin-wag about our weeks. They were in good 😊 spirits and talked about their preparations for the 👶 baby - lots to think 🤔 about!

Sunday October 24th.
I had a good week again, good enough to eat! On Tuesday we went on the health-walk, then went to Nancy’s for a 🥓 bacon sandwich. George had sausage and Jamie had egg - that’ll make him parp! We went to Dartford on Wednesday (MacDonald’s fish and chicken burgers) and to PHAB in the evening where we had a great 👍 time. Thursday was the best day at Edenbridge when we practised for our Christmas Panto ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. We are all getting quite good 😊 now! I spoke to dad on the staff phone as the other one is still broken! We have decorated the house 🏡 for Hallowe'en next Sunday and we are having our party 🎉 🎊 next Saturday, I’m gonna be a mummy!! Mum and dad will come over at 7 o’clock to collect me after the 🎈 party. Thursday was Lucy’s birthday 🎈 so we went over to theirs on Saturday for afternoon tea and cakes. 🎂. Lucy was pleased 😁 with her 🎁 presents. Suddenly there was a little call at the kitchen door 🚪 and Lucy’s mum Marie and her sister Nina had arrived! We had quite a party!
After lunch today (Sunday egg and beans) mum and I will order my bath-mat on-line from Dunelm before we go to the supermarket.

Sunday egg and beans, yum yum!

Sunday egg and beans, yum yum!

Saturday October 30th I had an ok 👌 week, looking forward to Hallowe’en next weekend! The shops have decorated their windows with spiders and webs, witches, ghosts and pumpkins 🎃. Tuesday was ‘Lunch Club’ as usual and we had 🐔 chicken casserole which was lovely 😊. In the afternoon Kim took me, Alan and Jamie to the bank and I drew out £100 for the weeks costs. Gary was tipped to be star cook of the week, making Pasta Carbonara, but it was just Carbonara as he forgot to put the 🍝 pasta in - silly boy! We had garlic bread 🥖 with it so it was still yummy 😋. On Wednesday Jamie and I went to Rochester Cathedral with Jita, Mel and Matthew Smith, Stuart, and Matthew Jones from SEC. We had a lovely 😊 time and had lunch at Wetherspoons, where I had a chicken 🍗 wrap, salad and coke which was very nice 👍. The Hallowe’en party at PHAB has been moved to next Wednesday and that’s lucky because we couldn’t go anyway because of staff sickness!
Dad rang me on Thursday as usual and I told him what we’ed been up to. We went to Edenbridge during the day, then we had a Chinese take-away in the evening, which was very good 😊.
On Friday for tea I cooked 👨‍🍳 fish fingers, chips and baked beans, a simple supper but everyone enjoyed it. On Saturday mum and dad came to pick me up after the party, but I got 😢 tearful waiting for them. I must try and stop this as its upsetting for everyone else in the house 🏡.

The clocks go back tonight, so we get an extra hour in bed zzzzz! We'll Skype Sam and Lucy in the morning after bath and hair-wash.

Saturday November 6th. A bit of a boring week as the clutch has gone on the mini-bus so we couldn’t go to Edenbridge, Phab or SEC - bummer! We went on a Health Walk with Leah and Kelly and the guys and did 5 miles! We then went to Lunch Club and had chicken 🍗 pie which was very good! On Wednesday I got a taxi with Jamie and Louise to Dartford where we met Amanda, Ophelia, Matthew Cook, Mark, Stuart and Karl with Terry his mum and we all went bowling 🎳. I got a strike and dropped a bowling ball on my finger which hurt, ouch! For lunch we went to MacDonalds and I had a fish burger with chips and a chocolate milk shake🥛.
Dad rang me on the staff phone ☎️ on Thursday and we talked about our week. On Friday I was star 👨‍🍳 cook with Rika and we made chilli and rice which went down well with everyone. In the afternoon there was a special surprise when Jackie bought me a photograph of my new born nephew, Ethan! Well done to Lucy, Sam and the little man, here at last! Everyone thought he was lovely!
Mum and dad picked me up on Saturday and we drove to Boots in Sevenoaks to get an earwax clearing kit for dad as he’s gone deaf in his right ear. When we got back dad used the kit and it worked a treat! In the afternoon mum and I went to Sainsbury’s for the weekly shop and we bought baby Ethan some more baby clothes. We will Skype Sam in the morning and hear all about baby Ethan!

Sunday November 14th. Still no minibus, so no Edenbridge on Monday, bummer! Tuesday went to lunch-club and had sausage casserole and enjoyed musical entertainment. I went to the bank with Leah and Kelly and got my weekly money out then Kelly took me to get my nails done. I chose a purpley-pink colour and George did the same.
Rika and I were star ⭐️ cooks on Friday with our chicken curry 🍛 and poppadoms which everyone enjoyed!
On Thursday I was a bit tearful in the morning but dad’s phonecall cheered me up. We have a hired car until the minibus is fixed, so we could go to Edenbridge, hurrah!
On Saturday I went with mum and dad to Sam and Lucy’s to see baby Ethan for the first time! He is 😊 lovely and I held him. He’s so tiny and tried to kiss my hand 🤚! We took him his 🎁 presents which I’m sure he’ll like. Just before we left, Lucy’s sister Nina came over which was nice. We then left the new mum and dad to share a bit of sleep-time with the little man who is keeping them up all night at the moment!

Hello baby Ethan, its your aunty Gen here!

Hello baby Ethan, its your aunty Gen here!

Sunday November 21st. The minibus is back - hurrah! We were back at Edenbridge on Monday and had a good 😊 day.
On Tuesday there was no lunch club, so we went to Nancy’s for a bacon 🥓 sandwich. We spent the rest of the day in the house and I tidied my room with Mel, while Leah helped George. After that we watched tv 📺. The star meal of the week was chilli-con-carne cooked by George and Kim, it was nice and spicy 🌶 !
On Wednesday we all went to Strood with Kim to meet Amanda and the guys from SEC. We walked around the shops then went to MacDonalds for lunch. I had a cheeseburger 🍔, the others has filet ‘o fish and chicken nuggets and we all had chips - not very healthy, but we don't have it that often…
Dad rang me on Thursday - still on the staff phone, though the payphone is now working again. I was feeling happy 😊 and we had a good chat, before heading off to Edenbridge for more rehearsals!
On Friday we all went to the chemist for a flu-jab👩‍🔬. My arm fell a bit sore afterwards but was ok by Saturday when mum and dad picked me up. Mum had booked tickets for us to see ‘Eternals’ at Everyman Oxted. We had time for lunch before we went, then mum and I started to clear up the beech 🍁 leaves that covered the newly laid bottom patio. We filled the green bin to the top, but there’s still loads to get rid of! We saw the film which was long and complicated, but I enjoyed it, though mum thought it was rubbish! We stayed and had drinks and 🍔 burgers for tea which was very nice 👍 ! We will go to Sam and Lucy’s in a couple of weeks time and mum has bought a Christmas jumper for baby Ethan 👶.

Sunday November 28th. It’s turned really cold but we’ve had a good week. Monday and Thursday were Edenbridge as usual, and Katie had some good news for me, I can be the Farmers Wife in the panto after all! She's written me into the script so I have a bit-part with some spoken lines!
The star ⭐️ dish this week was 🐔 chicken 🍛 curry cooked by me and Mel. It was a bit too 🌶 spicy for me, but most of the gang enjoyed it, even Gary! On Wednesday we went to PHAB and did some art which I enjoyed.
On Thursday dad rang me on the staff phone ☎️ and we had a good chat because I was in a bubbly mood!
On Friday we went to Edenbridge for an extra day and played “I’m a Celebrity, get me out of Here!” which was great fun!
On Saturday I went to Sevenoaks with mum and dad to buy the staff Christmas 🎁 presents (to say ‘thank you’ for putting up with me!). There were 9 presents to buy in the end, but Marks & Sparks is a god-send for good quality Christmas gifts, so it’s a one-stop-shop for this event, yippie! We went to a new bistro/bbakery beside the car park and had a fab chicken, pesto and 🥗 salad 🍔 burger before we went back home 🏡. In the afternoon we Skype’d Sam and caught up with all their news. Ethan is putting on good weight, but they are still not getting much sleep 😴 ! Lucy and Ethan were asleep next door 🚪 zzzzz, and you could tell Sam wanted to sleep as well, poor old thing. We will pop over to see them next Sunday…

Sunday December 5th. I’ve had a brilliant week as George, Jamie and I took a winter holiday in London with Jean and Kim! We stayed in a nice little hotel near Camden opposite the Halo building where mum used to work! We had dinner out in The Rainforest Cafe which was good 😊 fun. I had 🐟 fish and chips which was delicious 🤤. On Tuesday we went to Camden Market and I bought a red handbag 👜 to match my new winter coat, hat and gloves. In the afternoon we went to London Zoo which was interesting. We saw 🐵 monkeys, tigers 🐯, lions 🦁, zebras, flamingoes, lamas, gorillas 🦍 and elephants 🐘. On Wednesday we went out for lunch to a 🍕 pizza restaurant before getting the train 🚂 back to Longfield!
I spoke to dad on Thursday and told him all about it, before going to Edenbridge for a play rehearsal.
On Friday we all went to Canterbury in the minibus with Mel, Jean and Kim. It was very Christmassy 🎄there with all the lights and carols playing. For lunch we went to Weatherspoons and I had fish 🐟 and chips again!
On Saturday I was very brave as we had our Covid 😒 booster in the morning before mum and dad came to pick me up. When we got to mum and dads we put the tree 🌲 up and wrapped Ethan’s presents as we are seeing Sam, Lucy and Ethan today which is very exciting, and the end of a fab week!
